At the summit of Cadillac Mountain, I found shelter behind rocks and fir trees, creating an interplay of light and shadow. The foreground remains in soft shade, where snow-covered stones, shrubs, and trees form a complex composition. The middle ground is bathed in warm orange-pink light, contrasting beautifully with the cooler tones. In the distance, the ocean stretches to the horizon, with a thin band of clouds above. I positioned the sun behind a fir tree, making it appear as if it’s peeking through the branches, adding a dynamic touch.
